Audio Description
Alternative content for audio can be provided as a text transcription in accessible HTML. Links to audio files should be accompanied by a link to a web page containing the transcription.
Transcripts
Transcripts provide a text version of audio, including the dialog and
other sounds, of a video presentation. For the greatest user independence,
transcripts of the audio track and any audio descriptions should be provided
in addition to the captioned video files. A transcript may be provided
as a link to a separate page, to be accessed when audio and video are
turned off or not supported. It can also be linked to the main page by
means
of a longdesc attribute to a text link. The text link must
be meaningful both in and out of context. For example, "Accessibility
project team dialog" is meaningful in a list of links, while "Transcript" is
not.
Example
"We observe today, not a victory of party but a celebration of
freedom."
