The Faculty Media Lab is a resource provided by the CITT on the second floor of Turlington Hall for faculty who desiring to work on technology-related projects.

Video Editing and Digitization

Video editing and digitization facilities include several features. For video input, VHS VCRs and MiniDV decks may be provided. For digitization and editing, non-linear editing software and high resolution monitors are provided. VHS VCRs, MiniDV decks, DVD authoring software, and DVD burners are provided for finishing your product to any of these varying mediums.

Audio Recording

The sound studio is a valuable resource for faculty hoping to narrate a PowerPoint presentation, record voice-over for a video or work on nearly any audio-related project. Our in-house facilities have recently been upgraded with new hardware to provide better audio quality.

Virtual Reality

Scanning facilities provide a high resolution way of importing multiple type of documents into you computer. High-resolution photo and 35mm slide scanners allow you to digitize images, while special hardware or software solutions (such as OCR, or optical character recognition) allow you to scan text-based documents directly into a word processor.
