Introduction to WebCT Vista

Description:

In an active laboratory environment participants will learn the basics of course design and management using WebCT Vista. Those attending will experience Vista's online environment and see demonstrations for instructional uses including:

  • Posting a syllabus, readings, lecture notes and other content documents.
  • Interaction functions such as online discussions; assessment functions such as online assignment submission and testing.
  • Management functions such as posting, maintaining, and calculating grades.

In addition, participants will also receive information on how to get Vista accounts for their instructional needs and where to get further training and support.

Setting:

A 20 seat computer laboratory will be set up at the venue. In addition to the presenters, staff will be available to help participants during the hands-on portion of the session.
