Video and Collaboration Technologies for Teaching at UF

Description:

In an active laboratory environment participants will learn about video and collaboration resources available to UF teaching faculty. Those attending will become familiar with the following technologies and services:

  • Videoconferencing
  • Video streaming and multicasting
  • Collaboration platforms (Wimba, Elluminate, Breeze, etc.)
  • ATTV and Cable TV Services
  • Collaboration platforms:
    • Wimba (Kristian Serrano, Division of Continuing Education)
    • Elluminate (Scott Blades, College of Pharmacy)
    • Breeze (Brandon Hoover, IFAS)

Setting:

A 20 seat computer laboratory will be set up at the venue. In addition to the presenters, staff will be available to help participants during the hands-on portion of the session.
