Who may take the CLEP?
Beginning freshmen may take CLEP prior to the end of their first semester at UF. Students admitted in the summer or fall of 2008 may take CLEP during the summer or fall term. Ask your academic advisor if CLEP credit will count toward your degree program. Take any recommended CLEP exams after meeting with your advisor and before the end of your first semester of enrollment at UF.

How do I register for the CLEP?
First you must obtain a GatorLink account.Next, return to CLEP Registration and Register to schedule your testing appointment. Exceptions: Students with disabilities should call the Office of Academic Technology (352 392-0371 Ext. 200) or come to Room 1012 Turlington Hall between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding University holidays.
Students must register for the CLEP exams at least two "testing days" prior to the scheduled testing. (For example, students may register on Tuesday to test on Thursday.)
When will the CLEP be given?
CLEP will be given on the following dates at 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM.

NOTE: There are no CLEP tests given during August.
Where will the CLEP be given?
CLEP testing will be conducted at the Teaching Center, Ground Floor of SW Broward Hall.
What if I need special accommodations as a result of a disability?
If you are taking a CLEP test and require testing accommodations you will need to do the following:
- Request testing accommodations from the DRC at least 4 working days (96hrs.) prior to your scheduled test taking time. Follow these instructions: send an email to atrequest@dso.ufl.edu include your full name, UFID#, the title of test you are requesting accommodations for, & the date you are scheduled to take the test.
- Confirm your testing accommodations 48 hours (2 working days) prior to your testing time by contacting Academic Technology at (352) 392-0371 and ask for the Coordinator of Testing & Evaluation.
How much does it cost to take the CLEP?
Each CLEP exam will cost a total of $100. You will be charged a $30 test administration fee for each CLEP exam, plus a $70 CLEP examination fee per test. The $30 fee will be charged to your UF student account at the time of registration for CLEP. This fee is non-refundable. The $70 CLEP exam fee will be charged to your credit card at the beginning of the online CLEP testing.
